Found one at Sportsman's Guide for $149. Is there a place w/ a better price on this scope or is there a better scope for the same money. Will be putting it on a Rem 700 .243 for my daughter to use eventually. Just put a youth stock on it and am planning to have a muzzle brake installed. (She is 6 years old right now.)

Wandered by my local Wally World- they have the same one for 149.97 Have to include tax, but no shipping and it has instant gratification. HMMMM (scratching head).

Good scopes, IMO. I have two, one 4x32 rimfire and one 3-9x50, and both are excellent for the little money spent. Very good buys. The Optic Zone has them a bit cheaper, but by the time you add shipping ($13.00?) it is not much of a difference than buying local.

Natchez has a refurb for $99!!! And a Buckmasters refurb for $139. What's the difference?

The prostaff and buckmasters are great scopes for the money. I don't know what the refurb is about, but I found a brand new 3-9x40 buckmasters for about $165 + shipping on ebay. Keep your eye out for a good deal if you don't need the scope right now.

Which Nikon Prostaff is it? I have a couple on my 10/22s, and have been happy with them. Bright glass and good deal for the money.

Judging from the pricetag I'd say it's likely the 3-9x40 with or without the BDC reticle.
I'd get it with personally. Have one on my .243, one on my .30-06 and a 4x32 rimfire on my Marlin 60

Yeah- 3-9 X 40. What is the difference between the ProStaff and the Buckmasters?

The buckmasters has finger adjustable windage and elevation, and a little bit better light transmission I believe. I think it's 95% for the prostaff and 97% or 98% for the buckmasters.

Now Natchez is throwing me a curve. A Burris Fullfield II PLUS a Garmin e-Trex GPS PLUS free shipping. I'm thinking, sell off the GPS to defray the cost of the scope. I figure I could get at least $75 bucks for it. That makes it about $140 for the scope
:confused::confused:

Burris makes a great product too. I have heard that they are pretty good about their warranty too.

Grayrock if you look around you should be able to get a Fullfield II for ~ $140 and avoid having to try to sell the GPS.
I picked up a new 3X9 Fullfield II with BDC on ebay for $140 shipped not long ago.
