OK seriously...how do I mount this thing on straight? I have a Trijicon Accupoint 1-4x hunting scope and the reticle is a red triangle on a stick.

How do I get the stick perfectly vertical?

Always do this by eye ... but it helps to have a large sheet of card a few feet beyond gun - exactly plumb ..... marked with an accurate cross ... perfect 90ยบ between horizontal and vertical. Then set up gun in a rest for best vertical truth and look thru scope at the card .. rotate to match card.

Usually works for me. :)

Use a craftsman's liquid level will help to determine true level.

I have also been told to hang a weight in a string and dangle in front of scope to get absolute true level. Never tried this way, but it sounds logical.

Get a target with gridlines and use a level on it at 100 yards.

Bag your gun in and level the action. Lay in the scope and line up the retical with the grid lines on the target.
