one of the other threads got me wondering and now i need one. I want a single shot 12 guage capable of handling some heavy slugs, not saboted sugs but genuine lead 1 oz (or more) slugs. Should be able to handle 3 inchers and 3.5 would be nice.
whatcha got boys?

Be warned: shooting slugs out of a light single shot is going to be fairly uncomfortable.

You could take a look at the NEF Pardner Turkey with a 24" barrel, screw in chokes, and a 3.5" chamber. It only has a bead sight, but that might be enough for you.

I had one of these a few years ago and got the bright idea to fire some 3.5" 15 pellet Federal 00 out of it. I had previously removed the lead weight from the stock because I didn't like the way it balanced. It was around a 5lb gun and those two shells put a whupping on me and left me with a nice bruise for a few days.

If you enjoy brutal recoil, then it is definitely an option. I would add weight to the gun and invest in a very good recoil pad.
