Phil DeGraves August 3, 2008, 11:21 AM Well, I thought I was all gunned out, but went to the gun store the other day and picked up a Python and a S&W M24-3.
I would say that should about do it. Until the next time...

22-rimfire August 3, 2008, 11:29 AM I always thought the big snake was the Anaconda. Pythons are great. Hope you enjoy owning yours. I have owned them and have gravitated to shooting the Trooper Mark III's rather than collecting Pythons.
GUNKWAZY August 3, 2008, 11:54 AM Congrats.
Now, where's the pictures ?

44and45 August 3, 2008, 12:42 PM This is the really big snake...the Anaconda. But only a six inch snake, I believe there are examples of 10 & 12 inch...with .44 magnum fangs.

I have a Colt Python that I bought new in '92. If I could only keep one firearm from the myriad of firearms I own, it would be the Python. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing on so many levels, it's a mechanical delight and superbly accurate. Soon after buying it, I sent it to a gunsmith in Florida who replaced the factory seer with a roller-bearing seer. It was good to begin with but now it's outstanding.
:)
420Stainless August 3, 2008, 10:04 PM Sounds like a dream day. Hopefully they will provide you with much pleasure and joy.
MCgunner August 3, 2008, 10:12 PM Congrats.

HeavyDuty August 3, 2008, 10:46 PM Anacondas don't have that wonderful Python trigger, do they?
nerfsrule2 August 4, 2008, 12:12 AM I own a Blue Python in 6 inch... I want to see yours is it blue or Nickel????

Is there a market for the 8" ones?
bob
Shade00 August 4, 2008, 01:32 AM Bob, no. People hate the 8 inchers. I'll do you a favor and take it off your hands for say, $300? Or, tell you what, I'll trade you a S&W Model 60 with a manageable 2" barrel.
;)
Bob R August 4, 2008, 02:36 AM Shade,
I was sooooo close to taking you up on that, then SWMBO smacked me. She thinks the gun is hers. ;)
