Likely gonna pick up a CZ-75 soon. Anyone know a good source for quality full capacity mags that they’d like to share? I see new CZ’s on-line for ~$60 and will also cruise the local gun shows (Market Hall in a month I think), but they don’t have the great deals I remember from days past.

Thanks

CZ-75 or CZ-75B? It makes a big difference.

If you're talking about the (new) CZ-75B, you can find Pro-Mags at various places, along with the equivalent of factory mags on the internet. (Most of the folks I know who have used them in the CZ-75B series have had pretty good results. Springs aren't particularly durable, though, and you'll want to eventually replace them with Wolff +10% springs.) I've had good usage from several hi-cap Pro-Mags (CZ, Beretta and S&W.)

I've found, too, that EAA Witness .40 ten-round mags will work in the 9mm 75B -- you may have to enlarge the top of the mag release notch -- and hold 13 rounds. Other hi-caps for the CZ clones can generally be made to work, but it may take a bit of adjusting.

The best mags are Mec-Gar (which is now the OEM provider for US-import guns) or other factory mags, but they're hard to come by. They'll work in either gun.

If you're talking about the old 75 (no firing pin block), good luck, as only factory 15-rounders can be counted on to fit in the grip. (Most newer mags made for CZ or clones won't work.)

Take the gun with you to the gun shows, in any event, to be sure they will fit properly.

I found factory mags for $55 pro mag for $25. Not cheap. However, if you're an optimist you could just wait another 378 days 23 hours 41 minutes 30 seconds (as of this post.) to get cheap factory mags.

OEM CZ mags are very plentiful most everywhere on the net...most dist.'s have them. For plinking...get what ever fits.
For CCW I would run only OEM CZ mags...Ive had the best luck with them.
The Promags that Walt mentioned are very good also...Ive had some that run flawlessly but still wont drop free..so just try them out.

The OEM CZ mags only have ONE (1) catch hole......
The Promags have 2....just so you know.

Shoot well

Get on Gunbroker.com. Search under CZ. Find a guy selling mags by the name of Reddogxx. He sells full cap mags for $26.99. From what I've read on CZForum.com, they are good stuff.

I should have mentioned this earlier...

Cheaper Than Dirt is selling hi-caps for the CZ-75B that are apparently the same mags sold by Reddogxx, and cheaper.

I doubt that either seller has true "factory" mags, but they're apparently quite good and worth the reasonable price.

The stepped base magazines sold by reddogxx ARE factory and are quite a bargain. These are the very same magazines that came with both of my CZ75s.

NOTE: he sells two types of CZ magazines, the flat base, which are Pro Mag and may or may not fit in the mag well of your gun, and the stepped base which are the very same magazines that CZ USA sells.

His stepped base magazines are $29 each and he discounts if you buy in quantity. His contact information is as follows:

Paul Hadella
P.O. Box 10156
Fairbanks, AK 99710
(907) 457-1370
reddogxxNOSPAM@redrivernet.com

He can ship up to ten magazines in a Priority Mailer for $4. I have no connection with him other than being a satisfied customer. He ships fast and has been great to deal with if there have been any concerns or problems. Remember to remove the "NOSPAM" to email him.

Another kudo for reddogxx.
Buddy of mine has done repeat business with Paul and is a happy camper.
Last transaction, there was a glitch in the shipping info and Paul went for the lesser amount.
He regularly lists on eBay as reddogxxalaskan and has an online store there.

Somone approched me at the range the other day saying they had factory 9mm CZ 75B magazines for $40. I can't find their business card right now but if anyone is interested I might be able to track it down when I get home.
