Hey guys, I've been reading about the Appleseed shoots and I think I'd like to go to the one on September 13-14 in Puryear, TN, about 2 hours northwest of the Nashville area. I was wondering if anyone else was interested and, if so, if we could possibly get a group to go together? Thanks!

sounds like fun! unfortunately, on the same days, 2 hrs in the opposite direction is the TN state long range championship
i've been wanting to go to an appleseed shoot sometime.
is there some reason you can't take both the ar and the 22lr?

Oh no I plan on taking 2 rifles, just not sure which of the 22's to take. Should I take the iron-sighted one for the spirit of the shoot or the scoped one for the convenience of a semi-auto? :confused:

I'm planning to go. I'm not really a rifle shooter at all and am still trying to decide what to take, but I'll post about that in the rifle section.

There is another Appleseed at Arnold AFB in Manchester, TN, @2 hours to the East of Franklin/Nashville, on Sept 20-21.
So, you have two 'shots' at making one in Sept ;)

Hmmm... well I'm not married to the idea of going to Puryear, so if some members could go to the Manchester shoot, I could be flexible there... I'd like to get a chance to meet some fellow THR'ers, what do you guys think?

AEDC in Tullahoma (Arnold AFB) has two campgrounds. The Fam Camp and the Hunters Camp. The Fam camp is on the lake and offers fishing and swimming if you plan to bring the family. Manchester, just up the road has hotels.
AEDC is exit 121 off I-24 IIRC. Manchester is exit 110 through 114. It's just about an hour south of Nashville.
I hope to make the shoot. I just have to figure out which gun(s) to take. I really don't have any battle rifles, just hunting guns.

I'm planning on going to the Manchester, TN Appleseed. It's only about two and a half hours from Knoxville.
