I have a marlin model 36 in 35rem. 230gr. round noses shoot great in it w/4198.

I have some 125 gr. sierra hp 357 bullets. Any load suggestions to start?
I want to stay away from lead in the microgroove barrel.

These are just good solid plinking loads maybe 1600 fps?

Should I go to 158 for more bearing surface and accuracy?

Anybody tried this before and want to save me some time and powder?
I looked at a steve's reloading page but the powder listed was something odd. I would like to use a powder I already use like 4198,4350 or some type of pistol powder like unique if I used a filler?

Help me out here:confused:

I shot clover leaf groups with 158 gr 357 bullets and 10 gr of any old pistol powder in a 35 Whelen.

Those bullets were cheap, and there was not much recoil, but the big expensive bullets with the rifle powder kicked like a mule.

I'd use regular primers and no filler.
