i was planning on buying an imbel receiver, and buying a stg58 kit from FAC, then send it over to arizona response systems, and have them build a california version of the fal, the one with the pistol grip removed, and 10 round detatch mags. my main question is: would an imbel fit with a stg58 kit? thanks.

Yes. Metric is metric. You only get into problems building when you're dealing with Israeli heavy barrels or inch-pattern parts.
