Hi guys,

While waiting for my Mossberg 100ATR .308 rifle, i bought a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40mm Scope.

My question is will i need anything else to mount the scope, as far as rings, bases, etc...?

I am very unfamiliar with this. Other than the scope(i think it comes with rings), what else would i need to buy in order to properly mount the scope? I believe the gun is already "tapped & drilled" for a scope, if that helps

Thanks in Advance guys

You'll need bases that fit the gun(should be designated on the package) and rings high enough to provide proper clearance.

Thanks for the reply Cypress. Do you have any idea what they might be offhand or know of a site that would tell me?

Go to midway usa's site and look under optics mounts and rings. They list the guns and give you all the items they carry that will fit your gun. If you don't have much experience mounting optics, I would suggest the weaver style mounts and rings. They are very easy to install and should hold up with .308 recoil easily. I would also check somewhere like Wal-Mart if you don't want to pay for shipping.
