I've been having FTE problems lately and I noticed that my ejector looks short and the end looks like it might have broke off. I tried looking in the manual for a picture to compare but I couldn't find a good one.

You'll have to bear with me, my camera skills and camera are lacking. Hopefully these pics I've included will suffice.

Thanks

It looks OK in the first pic---from that angle---------can't tell much of anything from the second pic.

After I reassembled the gun and locked the slide back----the ejector extends about 1/4 in or so from the breech face-------if this helps.

Not very clear pics but the ejector looks like it's still on your gun. Cannot tell if teh actual "claw" (which is the part that slips over the rim of your bullet cartridge is still intact though). The ejector is supposed to extend beyond the breech in order for bullet rims to slip under the claw during cycling.

Try this. With slide locked open, take a cartridge and see if you can slide the rim of it under the ejector and wheter the bullet will stay there by itself (a little play is fine). If you can do this, then the ejector is still there.

Your owner's manual should also have an exploded diagram with pic of ejector.

Explain your FTE problems please. Does empty cartridge fail to cycle, does it stovepipe?
