Would anybody know how long i should expect to wait from the time of application until arrival of my handgun license?
Its a renewal and i applied for the lifetime permit.

My Dad just got his something like twelve weeks after from the Indianapolis office. Make sure you call in and make sure everything's going fine, too, cause they screwed up two things on his that were keeping it from being finished and evidently didn't feel the need to resolve them or contact him about it until he went in and asked about it.

Relatively small price for a lifetime CC permit, though. Wish I had the money to get mine...

I got mine in about 2 months. This was a couple years ago so maybe they're a bit faster now.

As long as you applied for the new permit before the old one expired, the application (your copy) for the new permit will serve as a temp permit. Make sure you have that copy on you. If you applied after the permit expired you can't legally carry a gun, until the new one arrives. Check your DL expiration date also.

I applied on the 19th of June and it took six weeks.

My wife and I applied for LTCHs when we first moved here on the same day. She received hers in about two weeks but mine took almost two months. Have no idea why the difference.
