Compromized digit ........

Occurred to me yesterday ........ whilst coming real close to mashing my right forefinger - :p - how would I, and anyone else for that matter, manage to shoot adequately with a trigger finger that was out of commission??
I guess I would do my best with middle finger .... it works I know that but hardly helps the grip. If damage was even worse, then what?
Probably switch to weak hand - a good reason for always practicing with same ....... though even so, it always feels very awkward.
Am interested tho to know what ''tricks'', if any, people might have to offer.

My little brother was discharged from the Corps after he cut his right index finger pretty bad with a circular saw. I guess they didn't think he could shoot lefty or something.
Goes to show you, every Marine is a rifleman first.

For defensive training it is a must.
Even for target or gaming, tis desirable.
Learn to shoot well and naturally either handed.
Wish could remember the details but....
Couple years ago a gal disabled her primary shootin hand before a match.
She won her class wrong handed.:D
When shootin from wrong side of a barrier, usin the wrong hand and the wrong eye exposes a lot less of your body and head to the other guy.

Not altogether uncommon for fingers to get shot off during combat. Practice weak hand.
