The one and only revolver I own is a little NEF .22 & I have two questions about it, hence the title of my thread.

1. I notice that every time I fire it the spent brass sticks in the cylinder. I realy have to pop the ejector to get it out ( DA revolver if that makes a difference) even if I SCRUB the gun it does this. any suggestions?

2. I've noticed that when we fire it we get blow by on the frame of the gun is this common W/ revolvers?

The gun was bought in a pawnshop at least 10 years ago & sat in a lock box in my garage for 8 years.
thanks

I have a 4" NEF R92. I have put ~ 3000 trouble free rounds through it.

I have never experienced the 1st problem, but I do know about #2!!! My hands are VERY dirty after I get done shooting this revolver!

You can try different ammo for the sticky extraction or polish the chambers. As to the fouling a .22 rimfire is a nasty cartridge to shoot.

I get some of #1, depending on the ammo. Some seem to have a coating on them that makes them a little sticky.

#2 is pretty common for revolvers, as there is a gap between the chamber and the barrel.

I think barrel to cylinder gap is supposed to be .002-.007. officially.
