Nice trio there. Blued steel and good wood does look nice.
One of my all time favorites is the 3.5" N frame:

Ok, so they ain't winning no beauty contest and I'm not taking home any photography awards, but I like'm both for carry. Still can;t decide which is best for the role though ;)

I always hear about the 586 and 13 -- but I never see them on the S&W page. Why not?

Standing Wolf, thankee !! I do like the blued Smith's.

Perfessr, that Marlin does look nice and I keep coming back to your picture. You have a good combination there.

Blueduck, I wouldn't worry about contests or awards. Those look just fine, including the grips. My M65LS is jealous..... ;)

That is because Stupid & Witless have stopped making Blue revolvers except for a few Performance Center guns.

I would like to see S&W start making blued guns as would a lot of others around here. You can see the cousins to the 13 and 586 as the 65 and 686 both of which are typically excellent guns in their own right.

I need to take a pick of my EMF Model 1892 Short Rifle (made by Rossi).

Nice looking group you have there Perfessr!

Curious if you've gone after any whitetail with the 1894, and if so what were the results? Seems like it would be an great little deer gun for the relatively short range shots around here (130 yards would be absolute max, typically in the 50-75 range)..

I'm a levergun freak, and recently turned into a 357 revolver freak, never really considered (until now) combining the two and becoming a 357 levergun fanatic.. <grin> I'm assuming you can shoot 38spl through the 1894 as well for plinking? ack.. almost got myself talked into one! <big grin>
