Who makes a good quality, faithful to the original, M3 replica?

Camillus did at one time, but they went out of business about a year ago.

Try ebay, a lot of interesting "fighting knife" stuff comes up. I've seen an original imperial go for over $275 this week and another brand was up to $175 last I checked.

I only mentioned that, because you may prefer to just go with a 'real' one.

Boker now makes a copy of their original M3 with original markings. You can still find the Camillus ones, but the price is climbing.

What would be a fair price for a "new" condition Camillus M3?

About comparable with a standard KA-BAR.

If you order one from 'em, let me know how it goes. I've been tinkering with the idea of ordering one from that site for a while now, but funds have been scarce.

I can't agree that a NIB Camillus will be of comparable value to a still in production KaBar.

The Camillus M3 in NIB condition will have gone up in value over it's original MSRP.

Their M3 Trench is listed at $44.99, and their basic USMC KA-BAR is $49.99. https://www.armynavysales.com/p-498-original-ka-bar.aspx

So... less, then, if they're still in stock.

Price =/= Value.

ahhh...no offense Dionysusigma...

But I believe you are missing the point that hso is making.

Camillus IS OUT OF BUSINESS. They ARE NOT MAKING their M3 copy any more. ANY Camillus M3 you find will be a 'discontinued' model. Discontinued models of popular patterns ALWAYS bring higher prices than currently made 'comparably' priced models.

And the Boker repro is made in China!
