This may be old hat, but I had not heard of it before.

Our local range is having a shoot in two weeks where cowboy action shooters will compete against law enforcement.

The cowboys must wear their costumes and use regular cowboy guns and gear.

The cops must wear uniforms and use duty weapons.

They will shoot a cowboy action course.

Should be a lot of fun.

The cops have already demanded a "rematch" to be shot on a LEO course of fire. <grin>

The shoot is Sept. 13, in Natchitoches, LA. That's an hour south of Shreveport.

For info on the shoot, contact:.

That's happened in AL. I wasn't there, but it was reported to me that the only cop that placed at all was also a cowboy shooter. No more than 5 in the pistol(s), no more than 2 in the shottie, and no more than 10 in the pistol caliber carbine. Sounds like a hoot.
