I'm looking for a IDPA legal plastic/Kydex holster for a CZ 75 SA. The only one I have found is a crappy Fobus, and a expensive Blade Tech. Anything in the middle?

It was a little sticky at first, once I oiled it and broke it in it's worked well. It even comes in LH.

Does is the tension adjustable, and how goods is the suade liner?

There is a phillips head screw on the side for adjustment. So far the suede is holding up well but was a little sticky at first. It did take some time to break in with some dry fire and practice draws.

It would seem like it could wear the finish sooner, does it actually help preserve the finish?
Also, I have always used paddle holsters, is belt best for IDPA?

One last thing, is the holster full length? Meaning, does it cover the whole barrel, or does it stick out a bit?

The holster is about 1/4 inch longer than the barrel.
Hope this helps

I bought the Safariland. It seems quality. But does the suade inside actually help with holser wear, or make it worse?
Also, it is very tight, does it get looser?
Should I spray something onto the suade?

I used some CLP to lube the suede and loosened the screw on the side. I haven't noticed any unusually heavy wear as of yet but I've only been using it since March.
