Read a test in Guns and Ammo. Very interesting, but very expensive.

Those are some fine looking guns and probably a real steal at that price. Still, if I was inclined to drop that kind of $ on a dbl, I would probably go for the Pedersoli Kodiak for no other reason than I really prefer the look of the SxS with exposed hammers.

I'll second that.

Those double rifles look pretty nice but they look too much like my buddies Browning 12ga. Skeet gun, not my cup of tea.

Memory just not what it used to be. Sorry 'bout the mixup. In the magazine article the list price was around 1300 and up.

na your memory is ok. Look at their website. it shows those rifles on sale. the non sale price is like 1500 and 1700. Thats a lot of cash for two short muzzleloaders. If they were centerfire rifles i would say they look like small carbines. I think its pretty cool. I just wouldnt think about spending that kind of money on a o/u muzzle loader. The sharps still sounds better maybe a 45-110 long barrel. 1000 yard gun.

With 209 primer, and 24 inch 1 in 28" twist OU barrels, tang safety and projectile aligment system, Traditions really tried to modernize & improve on the Pedersoli Kodiak SXS.
I guess they want to cut into Pedersoli's double rifle monopoly.

By making them in an OU configuration like a trap gun, it not as hard to regulate the point of impact.
I wonder how many states allow double barrel ML's for big game hunting?
It's not legal in my state during ML deer season.
