I was at the gun show a few weeks ago and a private seller had a Colt 1905 in about 80% condition for $325.

Since I knew nothing about them and had never seen one for sale before
I passed it up.

Now I've been losing sleep thinking I was hasty. If I see another one in that condition for that price should I get it?

$325 for a Colt M1905 is a steal !

I think it may have been too good of a "steal." We all like those deals-of-a-lifetime, but when something is too good it probably is. Maybe passing it up was a good thing. I wouldn't loose any sleep.

Since I had never seen one and had only vaguely heard of one from a colt history article I was reluctant.

I only like to buy things I know a lot about.

The older gentleman selling it didn't look like a crook but I guess you never know.

Sumpin wrong.
If fully functional and 80 percent of original finish remaining...
Should retail at about 17-18 hundred.

If the real deal.....it would most likely have been sucked up by one of the other dealers during set-up.

Long shot....very long shot, that you passed on the deal of a lifetime but I don't think so.
