I'm down here in Vegas for work. I'm connecting right now from the house I'm working at, but from the hotel I can't get to THR. I can get to every other site I've tried, but not this one. Someone here fight with Suncoast and make them mad?

Try another gun related online forum, like www.TheFiringLine.com.

^^^ that's not saying "we don't care, so go elsewhere." It's an attempt to see if they're blocking all gun-related site through a filter of some kind.

If they are blocking one option is to use Tor which is a solution to help provide anonymous internet usage. Basically it encrypts your request and bounces it off various machines on the Internet.

I'm not sure if I'll pay for internet tonight or tomorrow, but I'll try again. I got to gunbroker.com and handgunsmag.com no problem though. I'll try a bunch more next time I'm there and report back.

btw, scrat, you lost $20. Sorry.

Try to inform Mang. or IT, maybe they'll unblock it for you.

Worst that could happen is they say no.

I happened to change hotels, so I didn't try anything else. I'm sure I'll be back there in the next couple weeks sometime. I'll report when I have more info.

I'm Thinking...

I picked-up this sig-line from one or another of those Usenet newsgroups. That "OperaTor" thingie works darn nicely :)

Download "OperaTor" 3.1 today!

Tor works but can be slow. I've used OpenVPN with good results. It's not trivial to use though. It will work when regular VPN is blocked. It's encrypted so privacy is ensured.

I googled "gun forum" and could get to every site on the first page except this one and the one at the bottom. I'll try the Tor thing tonight for kicks.
