Got one of these in 7.62x39mm today. Ammo sure is dirt cheap. :D
Hope to shoot it tomorrow. Anyone else have one - thoughts...
TIA

If you don't mind my asking, how much did it set you back?
I was considering a SAR-1, but these really caught my eye.

...with six 30 round magazines and a carry case ran me right at $750.00.
Beautiful piece, love the way the round shoots. Need to get it zeroed though - only shot 20 rounds through it today and we're not quite there...

I have one.
It works great, but I can't hit crap with it.
I replaced the rear sight with an adjustable one from Global to correct a flaw. It did fix the problem, but I just can't shoot the damn thing as well as I can shoot a regular rifle.
Don't understand why.
I think I am gonna try getting some lower cap mags and do some prone practice with it.
Ammo is cheap, so what can it hurt?;)

Took mine out for the first time last weekend----had to really beat the front sight to correct the windage-----after that---I was hitting 200yd gongs offhand about every third or fourth shot---the others were real close---and anything living would be dead if that was my target.

Can anyone be more speCific?
In what way is it better than a $300 AK?

It really isn't.
They all work.
But it does seem a little tougher.
Most of this is just in the mind, but there is just something cool about a gun that is built out of a big block of steel.

Arsenal makes the best AK around. I had a SA M-7 for awhile, it was extremely well made, almost too nice to shoot.
The price you paid was a little high, FAC has them for $621, but the rifle will last you a lifetime. And, once you figure int he mag cost and transfer fee, you're probably close. So, IMHO forget about the cost and shoot it.
Arsenal rifles are well worth the extra expense. Trust me, you'll see the difference between your rifle and a $300 SAR at 100 yards and beyond. :D :D :D

Put the rifle alone at about $625...
