Is anyone familiar with installing these sights?
I've ordered the sights and plan on installing them myself. They are supposed to be direct replacements for the standard sights. I do have a sight pusher. Is there anything to look out for/be careful of etc.??? Is that pinned front sight a problem?
Thanks for any info/advice.

P.S> chubbmann : I'm 62 and shoot production in a USPSA league. No, I'm not going to be on the cover of any magazines, but I still have a great time and occassionally do pretty well. My shooting scores are high, but my times are slow. When I can't run and gun any more, I plan to shoot AASA steel. When I can't do that, my son promises to roll me out to the range and prop me up in front of a target. (He took 1st place in limited 10).

I put the same sights on my CZ. I used a brass punch and hammer. I had never done this before. It was pretty easy. The hardest part was getting the rear sight to move. Need to be careful not to mess up the finish. Some tape around the area helps.

I would check czforum.com or czshooters.com for some good info.

Good Luck

Thanks TC95GT: Will do. Are you happy with them?

The rear sight may need judicious filing to fit properly. If it does, it'll probably take just a little off the bottom.

The paint on the sight will need a little touch-up if you use a punch to drive it in.

They're pretty tight, but they'll stay put.

I'm very, very happy with them. Sight acquistion is a whole lot faster. The overall sight picture is much better than the standard sights as well.

Like Morgan said if using a punch it may need some touch up. I used a brass punch and hammer. It left a small mark, but it came right off. Be careful and take your time. YMMV

Good Luck.

It went ok, but I do need a little touch-up.
One problem I found was the new front sight didn't have the machining to accept the front site pin.
Were yours machined to accept the pin or is it ok to rely on the tight fit?

I did take it to the range and really liked the sights. I'm looking forward to tomorrows USPSA league shoot.

I did not pin my FO front sight. I have shot it a lot without any problems including IDPA competition.

1Sow,

I installed mine much the same as the rest of the guys who responded. But I did cut a notch in the bottom of the front sight and put that roll pin back in. I personally wouldn't trust mine to stay in without it. That said they were the best thing I did for my CZ75b. Seems like I can't miss these days. I installed the same front sight on my .22 Kadet Kit, lots of trigger time with the same sight picture.

best regards,

Luis Leon

Thanks guys. I've shot USPSA with mine unpinned, and my speed was noticeably better (I beat my son by .2). I don't have great vision and these sites helped a lot!
I plan to take the front site back off and cut a half-cylinder slot for the pin.
Thanks again.

I had them installed on my CZ75B SA by CZ Custom. My eyes aren't what they used to be and the sights help a great deal.
