I bought one of the LE trade in model 65's. I must say it was a very good buy considering its condition.
What Im looking for are some grips that dont cover the back strap and get me a little shorter trigger reach. With the Pachmayr gripper style grips on it that cover the backstrap, its a pretty good stretch for me d/a.
Dont the hogue grips for the round butt expose the strap? Id be open to a set of finger grooved wood grips also if anyone has any suggestions on those.

I am personally a fan of S&W's target stocks. They give you a better grip, and also expose the backstrap. Not sure if they give you any shorter trigger reach than Pachmayrs, as I have not been able to compare the two. You could always try a set of standard magnas and maybe a Tyler grip. That's my #1 grip option.

Pachmayr Gripper Pro leave the backstrap exposed for people with smaller hands.
From their website:
These (Gripper Pro) are smaller versions of our Gripper models. The design has an open backstrap and the overall shape has been downsized. This design makes it possible for shooters with small hands or shorter fingers to better reach the trigger and obtain the advantages of a reliable combat-style Pachmayr grip.
Failing that, check one of these guys:

I don't have one now but that's my favorite carrying DA revlover. If you don't need rubber grips check with Ajax for some nice Walnut grips.

If you like the feel of the Pachmayr grips then you will like the Pro grips made by Pachmayr like harmonic mentioned.
If you are looking for wood grips I feel there are no better grips than those made by Badger Custom Grips (http://www.badgercustomgrips.com/smith_and_wesson_pistol_grips.php). Both their full size grips and their Boot grips are very comfortable to shoot with, are controllable and are well made too.
