I just had a great experience that I feel ought to be shared:

A few months ago I purchased a PT1911 from Bear Mountain Sports in Mesa, AZ. As some of you know (and have been kind enough to help me with) I've had a few problems with it that required the gun to be sent in for warranty. As I was getting ready to send it off to Taurus today I decided on a whim to call up the store and see if they had any advice or if they could ship it themselves (they've always treated me right so I like to do my business there if possible).

When I called they asked if I bought it from them in the store, or if I ordered it from their website. When I answered I purchased it from the website they told me to bring it down, since they guarantee their sales. The man behind the counter looked at it, made a phone call to confirm they sold it, then said, "A new one will be shipped this afternoon and will be here tomorrow. We'll give you a call and you can pick it up then." :what:

It would be real easy for them to take the "we're just distributer, contact the manufacturer" approach, but instead they are taking it back and giving me a brand new gun instead! I've bought three hand guns from them in the past (great prices!), but this event has sealed the deal of making me a loyal customer.

If anyone is in the Phoenix metro area I strongly encourage you to check them out, they treat their customers right!
