Rumors has it that here in Taiwan, due to the high amounts of robberys in this gun free utopia :barf: they are thinking of adding some laws in the books, one of them being the "robbery murder" law..
I'm shocked, but the PRK actually has this law (and I like it!!)
It basically says, that if you are involved in a robbery, and someone dies because of it, then you are liable for the death.
So if me and some other shmuck rob a stop-n-rob, and the clerk shoots me or the cops shoot me, the other shmuck would be on the hook for murder. The law basically is blind to who actually did the killing, only that if you are part of the robbery team, and someone dies as a result (be it a teammate, innocent bi-standard etc..) That's murder 1.. and you get to rot in jail for the rest of your life.
Of course, (here in Taiwan) if a cop gets killed, that's a bullet to the back of the head (Which I really have no problems with, if you kill a cop in the process of robbing someone.. what you get is what you get.. no tears)
There is (for some strange reason) strong opposition against the bill here.. (You'd think that shows that all the politicians are all robbers.. oh wait.. err..)
Just wanted to see what you all thought, is there an angle on this law that I've missed?
