I just got my Taurus PT1911 back from Ron Kemp and as always he did a wonderful job.

The frame has a bit more green in it than you can see in the photo but it is still a pretty striking color.

Originally I had the whole gun done in this color with just the black accents. However it was just to much in my opinion so I had him strip the slide and do an OD green. I always let the gun set for a couple weeks but as soon as it is ready I will be polishing the feed ramp and getting her back out to the range.

I was a little unsure on the colors and still wonder if I should have went darker on the frame. What do you all think?

The frames is a bit light for my taste, but it's your gun. It's definitely unique.

Azizza...you mentioned polishing the feed ramp. I dont know about yours but mine came polished..its on the list of things that the factory does. Mine is pretty close to mirror polish. I'm no 1911 smith but im not sure is it could get more polished. You might want to check it out and save yourself some work.

From the factory it was very polished. However while bead blasting the gun he scuffed it a little bit.

It's your pistol, if you are happy with it that is all that matters.

I kind of like the look, two toned pistols just seem to look good.
