John Kerry bashed our freedoms in Pres. Campaign speech

And courage means standing up for gun safety, not retreating from the issue out of political fear or trying to have it both ways. I’m a hunter and I believe in the Second Amendment but I’ve never gone hunting with an AK-47. Our party will never be the choice of the NRA -- and I’m not looking to be the candidate of the NRA.

I wouldn't vote for this Mikey Dukakis wannabe for dogcatcher.

Classic example of a political straddle. He knows he can't blast gunowners so he trims off a small group and attacks them.
Mr. Kerry, when you refer to hunting with an AK-47, to what do you refer? Are you referring to its full-auto capabilities? or are you referring to the caliber of the bullet? or are you referring to its evil appearance?
In other words Mr. Kerry, do you have any clue what you just said, or are you just mouthing platitudes written by some campaign chimp? I want a president who can think. On the basis of your comment I can only conclude you repeat what your campaign chimps feed you.
Un-qualified.

It ain't about huntin' ...

TallPine, thou speaketh the truth...
When any candidate equates the second with hunting, he or she will never receive my vote.
Anyone remember Hubert H. Humphrey's quote? There was a man who knew from whence he spoke. As did Ronald Reagan and I believe John F. Kennedy.
Good luck Mr. Kerry, you're going to need it.

Actually, an AK-47 would make a fine hunting rifle given the adequate caliber size and used at the proper effective range. Just because it "looks" a certain way does not mean it wouldn't work.

That was a dig at Dean who received an "A" from the NRA for not signing or promoting any new gun control legislation during his term as governer of VT. I hope Dean's grade is revised to reflect the fact that he is in favor of the Brady Gun Grabber Bill, and the so called AW Ban.

Maybe somebody needs to correct me on this, but I heard the semi-auto version of the AK-47 is considered ideal for hunting wild boar in the Carolina's. It's compact size, short ranges and adequate cartridge are quite useful in the thick brush where boar are to be found. And, semi-auto allows quick follow-up shots.
In my gun hating state of Maryland, the biggest requirement for hunting large game such as deer is sufficient muzzle energy.
Kerry has been in the media claiming Bush lied to him and the world about WMDs in Iraq. I think he should at least keep his mouth shut until the full story is known.

Ya know, I loathe everything this man stands for, yet as i was reading the text, I thought, "Dang that's a well written speech".
Though, I totally wrote this guy off when he started with his "Yes, I voted for the war, but I "assumed" that Bush would secure the blessing of the UN". :neener:

Oh have mercy, here we go again with "Gun Safety". The vilified NRA and "gun lobby" do more every year to promote gun safety and responsible use of firearms than all these posing, totalitarian windbags. How many people has he explained the Four Rules to?
And don't get me started on his kissing up to the hunters. Divide and conquor the gun owners is their strategy.
Don't worry hunters we won't take your "hunting rifles", at least not until the next wacko shoots someone with a Savage or a Benelli. I mean, you don't need to hunt anymore than you need an AK-47, do you? It's for the children after all.
Ugh . . . anger rising . . . rising . . . must . . . stop . . . fist-of-death . . .

....try doing the exact same thing that caused you to fail last time.
After Clinton admitted that the democrat stance on gun control destroyed any chances Gore had of winning "flyover country/heartland" states in 2000, Kerry starts out of the box with an announcement that he will support gun control.
Real smart.

Oh! That John. Loser John Kerry... Serious for a moment, with only a five percent poll number he can not win. He will only draw votes away from other more qualified candidates, that is if there were more qualified candidates.
I often wonder if these way dark horse candidates only run so they can build up a campaign fund, with a possibility of somehow at a later date converting those funds into a personal account? Can this be done? Do politicians own campaign money, to be taken with them when leaving office? Anyone?
Your milage may vary.

John Kerry bashed our freedoms in Pres. Campaign speech Really? REALLY? A Demorat bashed our freedoms? Are you sure?
I'm shocked I tell you, positively flabergasted at the thought that a :cuss: Demorat :cuss: would do such a thing.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
I heard that John Kerry served during Viet Nam! :barf:
Note: That is not a slur on those that served their country honorably at ANY time. Just a slur on pukebags like him that did serve, but who don't have clue 1 as to what rights and freedoms they were fighting for.

When senator John Kerry returned from military service
in Viet-Nam; he did an about face!:uhoh: Joining the
anti-war protestor's in front of The White House; and
as noted in the book Stolen Valor, was observed
throwing military medal's at the President's quarters.
He also denounced American involvement in the Viet-
Nam war, and said that the United States government
had no business meddling in Vietnamese affair's.
Do we really want this man for President?
I think NOT!
*FootNote- Not to be confused with Medal Of Honor
recipient, the distinguished ex-senator from Nebraska
Robert (Bob) Kerry; who was a Navy seal team leader.
Best Wishes,

Another beaut from the same speech:
" It is time to return to the United Nations, not with the arrogance of Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz, but with genuine respect."
I'll give him this – the guy sure knows how to be an @ss-kisser...

I believe in the Second Amendment but...
...but he doesn't.
I'd sooner vote for a communist than a representative of the Democratic (sic) party: at least the communists are honest, open enemies of America.

Ohhhh, I get it now, it's not WHETHER we go to the UN, but our ATTITUDE when we get there. Ohh, please, Lybia, please please approve of what we want to do! Pretty please?
 :barf:
I fail to grasp why we need to be 'respectful' to a bunch of jealous, socialist and/or dictatorial pig filth at the UN.

And also, you can bet your next paycheck that Kerry and his family are QUITE safe from the clutches of the criminal element in our society. 'No one he knows' has any need for an 'evil black rifle' because they all live in gated mansions with armed guards.
At the core of most Democrats is an arrogant elitism that makes me want to :barf: And they paint themselves as champions of the common man? What bile.

You can count on the Feinsteins and Kerry's of the world to butter their bread first.
Rumors abound of Feinstein packing heat.
Similar rumors abound about Kerry having a loaded M-16 // AR-variant in his office.

Wait, not rumors. DiFi carries a S&W J frame. She made a great show about handing in her Charter Arms .38 while mayor of San Fran, but got burned badly when pointed out that she still carried her S&W.
I believe it is Rockefeller who keeps the AR in his office. In '94 when NRA "tried" (ha, ha) to stop the AWB, this was pointed out. Rockefeller claimed to have returned the weapon to West, by God, Virginny. It is reported he did take it back to his house in Georgetown and then returned it to his office in early '95.
From my own conversations with interns, staffers and former Congressmen, Congressional offices are well-equipped with firearms. After 9/11, many anti-gun politicians and federal judges received firearm instruction (from various sources).

He's been campaigning for months, and the media's been following him around on the campaing trail all this time. So *** is with him "announcing" his candidacy now? Idiotic. He announced it already months ago on numerous occasions. Man we need to send him packing back to Ted-Kennedy-Land.
