Hi, I have an 1860 Army Colt Revolver and I was wondering if it was possible to unload everything from the cylinder after putting your powder and ball in and then ramming them down?

You can blow them out using CO2 silent dischargers, or use a "screw" on your cleaning rod to pull the balls out, OR drive them out through the nipple hole...the last is rather risky if you use something which might damage the nipple seat threads...I just shoot them out, or remove caps and leave it loaded if you want to store it, shooting them out later when you care to clean it.....

I had to do it once on my 1851 Navy clone. Took the cylinder off, removed the nipples, and used something to poke the balls out going through the nipple hole. Don't remember what I used, probably a drill bit.

what I used, probably a drill bit.use a brass rod, not steel with black powder.

I just screw a small wood screw into the lead and pull on it with a pair of pliers.
