looking for published load data for 200g and 230g. i've seen what's on the hodgdon site. (not much and not specific to the XTP, just vanilla JHP)

does hornady have data on the www or just in their manual?

thanks

Their manual says for 230gr XTP's 5.2gr Titegroup max load at 850 FPS with COL 1.230.

My data for this load for once pretty much mirrors the manuals data.

5.2gr at 1.230 COL. chrono averaged 860 FPS in several 5" 1911's. Temperature at time of chrono testing was 65 degrees.

Their manual lists the 200gr XTP with a max load of 5.9gr Titegroup at 950 FPS and 1.230" COL. I have not tested this data.

I settled in at 5.2G of HP38 or 4.8G of Titegroup for the XTP. I load a hundred up every few months for my SD rounds. I shoot a few of them each week in my practice sessions in my CCW gun, just to stay tuned up. Rest of the time I shoot my own lead from the rest of the harem. My CCW is a Kimber UCCII (1911 sub-compact with Crinson Trace Laser) The XTP and Titegroup is a great combination. It's like putting a radar guidance system on a sledgehammer!
