I'm considering making some hard and deep hitting pro RKBA videos that could be used by anyone willing to download them.

The first one I think i will start with will be a "How the US came to be" type theme, but finding pics of drawings/illistrations or paintings from back in the time of the Revolution is proving very difficult.

The seccond I may do for the uk, but as for what theme, I haven't decided yet...

also I am open to any suguestions/general input or comments any of you guys may have...:)

1. EXT. HOSPITAL PARKING LOT - NIGHT

A young NURSE exits a hospital building and begins walking across an almost completely deserted parking lot. As she approaches her car a MAN steps out from the shadows, holding a small knife.

1A. THE NURSE

Freeze frame on the nurse. She is about to reach into her purse.

ANNOUNCER (V.O.)
Some would have you believe that this young woman is in more danger from owning a gun than any threat of crime. In this situation, she should call 911.

2. EXT. HOSPITAL PARKING LOT - NIGHT - LOW ANGLE

A cell phone clatters to the pavement and the nurse is heard screaming.

3. THE NURSE

As in 1A.

ANNOUNCER (V.O.)
This young woman barely dialed before she was kidnapped. Let's look at that scene again.

Resume motion. The nurse reaches into a side compartment of her purse and withdraws a small .38 caliber pistol.

4. EXT. HOSPITAL PARKING LOT - NIGHT - LOW ANGLE

As in 2. This time, the man's knife clatters to the pavement. Footfalls are heard as the man runs away. Fade to black.

ANNOUNCER (V.O.)
If you were this woman, which choice would you make?

Nice script! If making TV commercial-like spot, I would then que music and have the VO say something like:
"Polititions in Washington (or name state capital or other city name) want to take away a womans choice (or "don't want a woman to have a choice."). They don't trust her to defend her own body or protect her family."
Show pregnant woman at home with a phone and a gun hiding behind bed. Show scared toddler in background as she chucks an abusive BF out the door.
"These dangerous gun-control schemes have cost untold numbers of lives in places where innocent people need the most protection."
Show a grimey view of NYC.
"In places where a woman's right to protect herself is recognized, untold lives have been saved."
Show a sunny Florida street scene. Flash citation to John Lott Jr's book(s) at bottom of screen.
. . . you know the rest. Copy a page from the Demos "The Repubs are going to thow old people out on the streets" political commercials.

Consider using the video equipment at the local cable company public access studio. Free is cheap at twice the price.

I've allways wanted to see the lady in the alarm company (Brinks??) commerical pull a 12 ga. out when the bad guy breaks the window and sets the alarm off. :D The commerical shows the bad guy running away. But what if "in real life he doesn't" :uhoh: Why doesn't the gun companys come out with commericals showing people useing their products for self defense. Maybe even real life storys with the real people and not actors. That I would like to see :)

I always want her to tell the guy on the phone "We're okay. We locked ourselves in a bedroom and I have a gun."

I sold my neighbor a Mak a couple of years ago because she lived alone and wanted a bit more peace of mind. I instructed her in the mechanics of the firearm, the rules of safety, and showed her how to clear her ghouse if she had to.

She had ADT installed when she bought the house and she had been having trouble with false alarms to the point the PD started charging for them. One night, about 2AM, she had a false alarm so she turned it off and the service called.

After some questions about windows, doors, drafts, curtains, etc.; she asked the girl on the other end if she was going to call the police. The girl said "No. Because you turned the alarm off. If you had left it running I would."

So she tells the girl "My neighbor showed me how to clear my own damned house and I have a gun and if you hear a gunshot you'd damn well better call the police!" With this, she went through all of the motions and cleared the house. She told the girl there was nothing and hung up the phone.

The next day, ADT showed up and replaced every sensor in the house. The problems went away.

Here is One Adaptable Script that I thought up, it's based on one I saw some time ago online, but is IMO greatly improved.
Uses the same kind of Psycological Tactics the anti's use.

------------------
Can be either a Single Parent Home or one where the Father is at work.

Scene: Camera shows a window in a House/Apartment, the blinds are slightly open and it is dark outside.

Scene: Camera zooms out and pans over to a bed with a sleeping child in it.

Scene: the Little girl (or boy) gets out of bed and leaves her (or his) room.

Scene: child sleeply wonders towads the living room.

Scene: as the child begens to enter the room she (or he) says "momy, I couldn't sleep..." .

Scene: Child's mother is laying on the Floor battered and in a pool of blood, the child screams for it's mother and runs to her.

Scene: A Intruder in dark clothes & a ski mask unseen by the child, quietly steps out of some shadows.

Scene: the Intruder Lunges at the vecinity of the child.

Scene: crying child stops crying and screams (Camera still in same position) the only light is knocked over & broken (screen goes black), the child screams an ear pearcing scream of terror and pain that fades out with an erie echo.

Scene: (Later on outside) Local PD & Ambulance carting off One Adult size body bag and one child sized.

Comentator: "The Mother and her Child were not killed because of the Criminal that was roaming the area, They were killed because the very Goverment that is sworn to protect them, forbid them the ability to Protect themselves!"

Comentator: "Tougher Gun Laws won't stop a criminal, Tougher Gun Laws Only create Easy Prey for Criminals"

Comentator: "An Inocent Human Life is Sacred, and a young one even more so, Don't let unresnoble Paranoia prevent it's protection."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Comments?

Could also adapt this to a longer version with an extra showing of the same basic scenes except the criminal gets used to paint a nearby wall with the aid of a .45

Check out your local cable access. It may be different in other states, but here you have access to camera equipment, editing equipment, etc. AND they will air your production (probably at 3am on a Tuesday, but it's at least some exposure).

Great ideas, all around the table. I have considered making a pro-gun commercial for about 2 years now... It's probably time I should get off my butt and get started.

It is federal law that all cable companies have to provide public access.

Do you know if the same is true for Satellite TV companies?

Thanks,
Wes
