Imagine my suprise on seeing SAAs listed under the Beretta name at www.galleryofguns.com.

Called the Stampede, they seem availible in
45LC, 44-40, and 357M with 4.63", 5.5"and 7.5" barrels, and fixed sights. They show a DLX model with walnut grips.

$465.00-498.00 MSRP

Nothing on the Beretta USA or Italian website.

Two questions:

Does anyone have any information on this?

What does this say about the influence of Cowboy Action Shooting?

I believe that Beretta bought Uberti a year or two back, and these are probably the result. I do hope they'll be heat treated better than most Ubertis, especially the springs.
