This sweet lady is not my grandma but I would be very proud if she were.

FWIW:

These old H&R's are surprisingly accurate, and a lot of fun to plink with in the bargain.

A friend of mine (81) is in a nursing home, (for good I'm afraid), and he gave me his old H&R to "keep" for him.

He bought this used in Kansas back around 1948, and as an Army officer took it with him to post war Germany, then Japan, then later to Korea.. It's seen more of the world than I have..

Neat old revolver, and the old gentleman is a quality individual who has gone a lot of places, and seen a lot of things...

And yet, there are those who would say granny would be better off with a sharp stick than a .22!:D

I love stories like this on many different levels.

I would never ever want a face off with a Granny with any kind gun. I'm married to one and know of which I speak.

I bet that kid was scared to death. She said she was mad enough to shoot him.

So nice when thugs get the tables turned on them by good citizens....and grandmothers:D

Yep,

I always smile at the ignorant comment of "that .22 will just ?iss 'em off". At the end of the day, nine shots are most likely to make 'em, at the least, wet their pants. Or, at the greatest, give 'em a good case of the rigors.
