I have an M&P and there is a crack in the upper portion of the hinged trigger that runs from the pin hole down to the end where the other half starts. Would replacing the trigger be something I, someone without gunsmithing tools or experience, could do? Is this a do it yourself job or do I have a shipment to Smith and Wesso in my future?

I don't want the thing to break on me.

Because of the newness of the gun, parts will likely be difficult to get.
Also due to the newness, I'd return it to S&W for a free repair.
I'd call them and see if they'd send you a shipping label for free shipping.
