I intend to wear this as a sign on my back while passing out the NRAILA's Obama fact sheet (http://www.nraila.org/obama/)at gun events. Let me know what you think. It's probably a little too crowded. But it's a late night first draft.

Actual photoshop file which will be good to download for 7 days:

file was just a tad to large to add as an attachment.

That whole deal about peneration of the 30-30 will just scare clueless people and make them say "why would you need that?" instead of exposing the foolishness of such bans. Maybe something more like: This gun (wooden hunting rifle) fires the same ammunition as this gun (HK G3) yet Obama wants to ban this one because it looks mean (G3). I dunno just a thought

Didn't you already have a thread similar to this closed in General Discussion?

Take the hint, man - politcal discussion doesn't belong here. APS is the forum you're looking for. Post flagged for lock.

This is a sign I designed, that was about NRA pamphlets. Different but related topics. In all honesty be a pro-2A activist right now and avoid mentioning a politician. Hopefully it won't get locked but I'm taking your advice and posting this over at TFL.

Why not a sign with the following message:

"Why is it that it's only in areas where leftwing politicians govern that there is an urgent need to disarm the people? Could it be that leftwing politicians fear the wrath of the people for screwing up so badly? Look at Detroit, Baltimore, D.C. etc, etc.

It's all too obvious that leftwing politicians only care about their own safety as they go about enriching themselves."

its too busy. it needs to be a compelling image, and a short sentence.

How about just the lever action, and "banned by obama" when someone asks, then explain it.

I like Owen's idea. Big red letters that can't be missed and the lever gun. Just the word banned in caps and red over the '94. Then smaller text they can read from a couple feet away saying. In use by farmers and hunters since 1894. Banned in 2009. Then the quote below that.

I like the revised version a lot. I would even consider removing the Garand and just having the 30-30, since he also (apparently) voted to ban its ammo.

The sign looks very appropriate for your stated use. I wouldn't feel silly carrying one at an event.

The message seems vague and would be confusing to anyone who is not knowlegable about guns and ammunition.

It could almost illicit the response, "Well, hell, if 30-30 can penetrate a cop's body armor, it should be banned."

"But, 30-30 is one of the most common hunting calibers."

"Shucks, I don't hunt anyway, so what do I care?"

First of all, it's too wordy. No one's going to read all of that. Second, you're conveying too many messages. Pick one powerful one, and make it with as few words as possible.

Picture one hunting rifle, and the words, "Obama voted to BAN MY RIFLE". Let people ask you for details, and then hand them the wordy flyer with Obama's voting record.
