Does this sound like a good plan for CCW?

Winter Carry - S&W model 15 or BHP
Summer Carry - PA-63 or J-frame/SP101

With the PA-63 as a "Car gun"

...what course others may take, but, as for me...

I prefer to carry the same guns, in the same holsters, in the same location, day in and day out.

I have been blessed to have learned many invaluable lessons from others, greatly reducing the risk of my own injury. One good friend once reached for his duty revolver on his belt, only to realize that he was carrying in a shoulder holster that day. I believe he has not worn a shoulder holster since.

Why not carry the SP101 year round or, better yet, a pair of SP101's? I have found that a revolver behind each hip not only balances the weight, but that symmetrical bulges do not attract as much attention as asymmetrical ones.

I started out thinking that I would carry my XD-40 in the summer and my 1911 in the winter due to concealability difference... Then I realized that nobody could see the 1911 even when wearing just a t-Shirt as a cover garment...

Now I carry the 1911 exclusively and keep the XD in the nightstand.

Spwenger has the right idea.

And if you find you absolutely cannot carry your primary weapon (e.g., wearing a swimsuit at the beach or pool), there are good choices available (e.g., Ruger LCP or Kel-Tec 3AT) as well for those very limited situations. But day in and day out, regardless the weather, one primary carry ought to do the trick.

I do recommend being consistent with your carry as possible. Settle on a gun that will work for you in most situations, that you can shoot well, and that you are comfortable with. Get that gun. If it is too large to carry in all circumstances get a j-frame, or pocket auto for those times when you can't conceal your primary. The j-frame/pocket auto also makes a good backup.

Basicly, what is being recommended is to get a J-frame/sp101, and if for some reasion that cannot be hidden, use my PA-63?

I carry an M1911 (currently a Kimber MKI classic) in an IWB of my own design, regardless of the season.

You will have to find what works best for you. Some people can conceal certain guns better than others (I've tried and I can't conceal a full size 1911 under a t-shirt). I like to carry a very small pistol in the summer (usually a PF-9), and a larger pistol in winter (USP 45c, Sig 228, etc).
I do think it's a good idea to keep your trigger type similar. I try to keep to DAO or DA/SA and always carry IWB at around 4:00 to keep things consistent.

Why carry a less effective, harder to shoot gun in the summer? Is the possibility of an attack on your person somehow seasonally related? ;)

I carry an XD9sc in an IWB holster in any weather that allows me to wear a button up short sleeve shirt (which in oregon is 9.5 months a year).

For those summer months when i only want to wear a tshirt (i don't feel comfortable with how my XD conceals with just a tshirt) I'm in the process of buying a jframe for pocket carry

No, but how much clothing I can put on does ;)

I am more of a revolver person, but the PA-63 being flat will fit in with some of my clothing that Omar the tentmaker did not make. NC does have open carry, but its not a friendly OC outside of the NC mountains.
