From those tricky Russians at Tula's TsKIB SOO ("Central Design & Research Bureau for Shooting and Hunting Weapons") comes the OTs-62, a 5-shot 12-gauge REVOLVER (2 3/4" chambers); it's basically a cut-down version of their MTs-255 revolving shotgun. It might be fun to play with for a while, but the kicker is the specification that says the DA pull is "no more than 60 Newtons", which translates to about 14 pounds. I wonder what Jerry M. could do with this: http://www.tulatskib.ru/boevoe_pdf/OTs62.pdf They sell it as a riot-control weapon, for firing rubber buckshot and slugs.

I'm pretty sure no one imports AOW class weapons. I'm not even sure the ATF would allow any to be imported.

If the Taurus "Judge" is legal, I see no reason why that monster OTs should not also be legal. But I sure wouldn't want to shoot it. Nevertheless, I'll bet they would sell like hot cakes if they were imported.

As said, this would be an AOW (a handgun firing a shotgun cartridge, made like that), but if you really, really, REALLY wanted one, you could probably import its bigger brother ( http://www.tulatskib.ru/boevoe_pdf/MTs255.pdf ), then file the forms to turn it into a SBS that looked and worked just like it.

"The Judge" has a bore of less than .50 cal, anything larger is a "destructive device".

I'll wait for the 3.5" magnum version.

Well, the REAL reason the Judge is exempt from this BS is that the Judge is a 45-calibre revolver that "just happens" to also fire 410 shotshells, and the Judge's barrel is rifled; neither of those are true for this thing, unfortunately.

Isn't there a much better looking Italian revolver-shotgun? I know I've seen those, at least in .410, but I think they were made in 12 gauge, too. I'd rather cut down one of those.

The Russkies always have all the cool toys. :)

Best part is, they are usually over built and work. Who cares if they are ugly.

I guess I'd try it, but only if it was loaded with rubber buckshot.

Looks like something bone and joint doctors supported to increase their business. Firing that would be hell on your wrists/arms. Fun for a few shots, but then OWW!
