Im looking at either a Ruger LCP, or one of the Kel-Tecs. I am looking for any information that anyone who owns one can give me. Like what kind of ammo it shoots well, feeds reliability, and in particular if it shoots hollow points very well. Im looking at all the pocket Kel-Tecs and the Ruger LCP.

My LCP feeds everything. I've shot Speer Gold dot, Federal hyrdaShock, WWB, S&B, crap-ass lead bullet reloads, and some garbage Russian surplus steel cased .380's that a friend gave me because they wouldn't feed in his P3AT.

It has eaten every single round I have fed it. I normally distrust pocket autos because of their reputation as being very ammo sensitive. This gun busted open my preconceived notions. I carry it every day now and trust my life with it.

Sorry but I searched and found a lot but nothing on exactly what I wanted. I want to know about 4 guns in particular and the search didnt turn up anything for me. Closest it gave me was if blued finish was ok for CCW guns. And I dont have time to search hundreds of treads.

Hey awesome, that what im looking for, awesome. Im leaning towards the Ruger just because its a Ruger (and I LOVE Rugers) but I wanted to know if anyone had feed issues. Sweetness.

Thanks for the links but honestly my search didnt even turn up one of those. I searched for Ruger LCP and LCP, but maybe its just me.

For me pocket guns feeding JHP's is a non issue. For the cartridges these guns come chambered in hollow points offer nowhere near adequate penetration. FMJ's for pocket guns save the HP's for your .40

Excluding one batch of start handloads that were too weak to cycle the gun my kel tec p32 has been 100% reliable with the 300 FMJ rounds I have through it thus far

I have a 1st generation Kel-Tec P3-AT and a 1st generation Kel-Tec P32. Both have been flawless and I carry the P3-AT daily as my primary CC gun.

Doesn't the answer to this thread really depend on the size of your pocket and the depth of your recreation fund??

If you've got a couple bucks to spend, make sure you also check out the Seecamp LWS32. Spend the money now, the gun will then take care of you for the rest of your life.

Own a LCP carry it daily. Awaiting my Buffalo Bore 95gr FMJ-FN ammo. Love this little piece and so easy to carry.

I looked at the seecamp, but I do a lot of landscaping and id hate to put a nice gun though that kind of abuse. But that is why I need a light (as possible) gun, because I really don't want to pack my 9mm while im mulching (maybe thats just me though).

You will Love the LCP I do.If you have large hands you may need a finger extension in order to shoot it good.My buddy can't hit anything with mine even at 3 yards without the finger extension

I've been very pleased with my P32. I shoot mine quite a bit. It has been absolutely reliable with the ball (Fiocchi, MagTech, and Sellier & Bellot) and hollow point (Hydra-shok and Silvertips) ammo I've tried in it. It's very easy to carry and conceal.

Although I'm tempted to get a LCP, I can't think of any advantages that it may have over my faithful Kel Tec P380. Especially since the Rugers are in the "teething" stage. I would personally wait a bit more until the bugs iron out of the Rugers.

As for the Keltec, I've had mixed experiences.

My .380 worked right out of the box with no problems whatsoever. My current carry load is the Speer Gold Dot 90gr JHP. The finish is parkerized and durable. I couldn't be happier.

The P32 , .32 auto was a totally different story. The first day the blue finish rusted when I left it in a damp holster. On the first range trip the magazine release spring fell out, along with the mag release. It would stovepipe with no specific pattern. Could I have sent it back to Kel Tec and have it fixed? Of course, but I personally think it was jinxed, so I sold it to a buyer with full disclosure of the problems.

Both would be a good choice and I don't think there is much of a difference between the two operating systems. The trick is finding one that works 100 percent for you. You are already disadvantaged by a smaller caliber mouse gun, so you need it to go bang every time.

My P3AT has never jammed on me and it's my primary carry gun. It's ugly and scratchy and crude but it's so light and tiny. I keep it in my pants pocket.
