I was just at the LGS and saw a model 629 unfluted cylinder for 353 dollars. Deal or no deal?

at a little over 1K. If it is in great condition. Locks up. Gaps to specification. No end shake etc. and you want it that seems to be a reasonable price.
The Standard Catalog says $350-400 for one in "good" condition with a high range of $900 LNIB.
That model has been around for a long time and has gone through many changes, models, specials, calibers etc.

This one is a 44mag

All 629s are .44 mag/special. The barrel length, dash number & grips help determine the value.
Here's two different Lew Horton 629s. The one with the unfluted cylinder is a 629-4 and is valued around $700-800. The other is the 629-1. It's also around the same price. Higher if they're NIB.

All 629s are stainless. The blued version is the "29" and all 29s and 629s are .44Mag. The other aspects of the revolver are dependent on barrel length, internal lock/no internal lock, grips, finish quality, series (inside the yoke is the model number i.e, 629-? this will tell you what engineering build it is. If it has no internal lock, and isn't loose as hell, then it's worth that price. I've never looked at one that was under $450, so keep that in mind. The N-frame (which this one is) is always a nice gun to shoot. I have three, and love them!
(TXSWFAN posted before I got my shot off. Quick on the draw!)

As long as it meets the standard checkout req's then you should gleefully exchange your pale green paper for it and then skip to your car, whistling a happy tune.

Model 29, 5-inch, full-lug barrel; bought it brand new in the mid 90's.
And, in answer to your next question: Nope, taint fer sale!
