Legal to carry in Baylor's Floyd Casey Stadium?

Hey, I'm going to be attending a concert and kickoff of the National Hot Air Balloon Competition (or something like that...I'm just going for the music) at Baylor's Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco. Does anyone know if it's legal to carry there with CHL at a non-sports event?

The Texas law says that it's only illegal when there is a "high school, collegiate, or professional sporting event or interscholastic event is taking place". Is the balloon thingy a "professional sporting event"? IE, is it a competition of professionals competing, or is it an amateur event? Does it include collegiate sponsered teams? It all depends on that.
I'd call the local PD and ask.

I doubt there'll be many goblins in the area for a balloon festival on a Baptist university. Since it's not a 'collegiate sports activity' and is technically a private facility, check around for the ubiquitous 30.06 signage before going in.
For my part, if I felt the absolute need to carry just in case the giant dragon balloon went on a rampage, I'd do it. That said, I don't think you'll be presented with any problem worse than overpriced food concessions and a prohibition on dancing. If you choose to carry, remember...it's 'concealed'.
Besides, the basketball team doesn't practice on turf.

Rabbit.

Probably not. Baylor is usually a "no guns allowed" area. However, if they don't have the 30.06 sign up, they can't prosecute you. They'll just kick you off the property.
Also, if a Baylor Basketball player asks you to go target shooting, RUN!!! :what:

Now that I think about this some more does Floyd Casey Stadium fall under the definition of "the physical premises of a school or educational institution...whether the school or educational institution is public or private?" I'm thinking yes.

I also doubt there will be many goblins there but I try not to make a practice of predicting when I will and won't need a gun. That would be a bit naive on my part I think.

No, you can't carry into the stadium at Baylor.
See 46.03(1)
See 46.035(2) - and yes, this probably would be considered a sporting event. As noted, it is a competition and even if not, it could be considered a sport demonstration.
It does not matter that Baylor is a private institution. You will be on Baylor grounds, inside a Baylor facility, and Baylor is a college in Texas and the stadium is a part of Baylor campus.
See 6.44(3) It is a felony.
There is a good reason you get a CHL handbook when you do your CHL.
