The GOA (Gun Owners of America www.gunowners.org) support McClintock for the governor's seat. How about the NRA or CRPA (California Rifle and Pistol Association www.crpa.org)?

Being the 1000lbs mentally retarded gorilla that the NRA is, I won't be surprised if they don't say anything at all. :fire:

Update:

I just called the CRPA and this is what I got from the receptionist. They will endorse a candidate for the governor's seat, but the news of that will not come out until several weeks.

The CRPA issued questionaires to the candidates on their stance on gun rights and are waiting for them to come in before issuing an endorsement.

The board was in a meeting today, but they'll be in tomorrow (Sept. 5, 2003). If you wish, you can call back tomorrow at the 714-number and ask for James Simmons (CRPA past President) or Manny Melendrez (CRPA President).

Or you can call Chuck Michel at 310-548-3703.

Unfortunately, the NRA Members Council and Fifty Caliber Shooters Assn (FCSA.org) have both decided to stay out of the recall. :cuss:

Unfortunatley, there are only a handful of candidates w/ a real chance of winning and none of them are really gun friendly :rolleyes:

Give a Californian a gun and he/she can own a gun today.
Teach him/her to vote for McClintock and they can own a gun until the next gun grabber gets in office. :banghead:
