If you want some for practice, you can usually scrounge some well pasted ones after a match.

There is a cheaper paper version.

Heck, I hve cut them out of butcher paper, some scaled down to simulate longer ranges in limited space.

I saw directions one time for a way to cut them out of brown paper grocery bags, I'll try to find it.

Why not make a guide out of wood or something similar that's cut resistant, get a bunch of large scrap cardboard boxes and cut your own out?

I try to save large boxes when I buy stuff like furniture (yay IKEA) and reuse them for targets.

Also Speedwell in NJ has them. If its just for practice you can cut up 1 to make a template, just cut on the perfs trace the out side with marker or spray paint then do the lines between -1 and -3 with pencil so you can not see them at distance

FWIW

The paper practice IDPA targets will screw you up because of the black border.

I buy the practice targets for shooting LR rifle.

A friend gave me similar advice about targets where the "0" "1" and "2" zones are outlined in black. He practiced that way and then when he went to the match and there wasn't a visible outline he had trouble picking an aim point.

I buy both the paper and cardboard ones and save the cardboard ones for serious practice. (I never thought about the dark outlines before. I'll have to give that some thought.)

As expensive as ammo is, the cardboard is the least of the problems. Cheap brown tape to cover up the holes makes them last a long time.

Maybe you get paid for your off time, I don't.

He wanted a cheap source, making them yourself out of cardboard might cost time but not much money. To each their own...

I've used old t-shirts on a hanger & masking tape to cover up the holes. It's a lot more ghetto but it's more realistic than just paper ;)

I cut small versions of IDPA targets out of Pizza boxes. Then at 10 yards, they look like they're at 30, due to the small size. Aim small, miss small.

+1 but buy 100, on an order of 50 shipping will kill you. Order 100 the shipping is about the same, just add the cost of the target.

By "lawenforcementtargets.com" I assume you are referring to www.letargets.com, as the other leads to a domain squatter.

LE targets is a great place to buy all sorts of targets except, unfortunately, for IDPA targets. They have IPSC targets, but no IDPA.

I really wish they did, as they have about the best prices around.

You can also buy IDPA targets directly from IDPA HQ- www.idpa.com.
