Hi,

So I've put about 200 rounds down the pipe and now I've noticed that the trigger guard can be wiggled a little bit from side to side? Is this something to be worried about? Also the blueing on the action bar lock is wearing off exposing the metal underneath. What should I do?

Slight trigger group wobble is entirely normal, nothing to worry about.

Blue wear off the action bars is also totally normal.
When you get metal to metal friction, the finish wears off.
If you don't want the finish to wear......... don't use the gun:)

Most folk consider a shine on the action bars to be a badge of honor. It means that you're using it. :D

No I know the "action bars" are supposed to shine.

I'm talking about the "action bar lock", the button you press to move the slide rearwards.

I just dont want it to start rusting cause I press it, and that undoubtedly leaves sweat with salt on it, causing rusting. Should I paint it?

You usually don't get wear on the action lock. Yours must be rubbing a little. It is no big deal as long as it is not hard to push in.

Bluing doesn't provide much protection against rust. Just keep it and the whole gun lightly oiled.

You are going to get wear on a working gun. There is nothing you can about that. Don't worry practice with it and get good. It can alway be refinish with a better more durable finish, later on, and it will look like new again.

Why not just tap those trigger pins out and BreakFree the whole trigger group and resintall? You'll see for yourself and it is normal for some wiggle.
