I had some water damage from a storm earlier this year and I knew I had lost some things.
I can't find my load for 230 TC in .45 Colt.
I think it was 8.5 grains of Unique?
Anyone using something close for a starting point?
It's Hercules Unique by the way.

That is probably right.

8.5 Unique with a 250 - 255 lead SWC is the old standard load.

With a 230, you would likely get around 900 FPS, depending on barrel length.
