I came across some 125gr Speer HP TNT bullets yesterday cheaper than what I would have to pay retail. I have been using .311 and .310 dia bullets but thought these might possibly work. I'll be shooting them out of my CZ527 carbine at targets from 100, 200, and 300 yds, the rifle has a 1:9 rifling. I'm wondering if my accuracy is going to hit the toilet at those distances using .308 dia bullet. I am using RL-7 and Accurate 1680.

I've been shooting 150g .308 pulled bullets in a Yugo Mod 70 using 16g of IMR 4895 and at 100 yds its right on. Try it, can't hurt.

What Roadkill says...

If it doesn't work, go back to .310-.311 bullets...

Well, like you said, won't hurt to try. Problem is I have to get all 3 boxes at 18.00 per box. That's 54.00. Guess I'll think about it.

Does the cz527 have a .308 bore? I know some rugers do/did...Even if it doesn't, the bullets will shoot fine. You might lose some accuracy, but it won't hurt anything.

I've got an old norinco sks that I load for and use 125 gr ballistic tips and also shoot 55gr accelerators out of that are both 308 diameter with no loss of accuracy. Give it a try and you might get lucky.
