Won this at the State IDPA outlaw match and I'm thrilled with it, but I've never heard of the maker.
Anyone recognize this?
I'd like to see if i can get a similar scabbard for a revolver.
Thanks.

The holster is/was manufactured by MD Enterprises. The propretor is/was Mark DeCovney. They were from somewhere out in the vicinity of ElPaso, TX. A couple of years ago Mark closed the holster business, rather unexpectedly, and over a period of time refunded the money for outstanding orders. He also ran an estate jewelry operation. The story I heard, over at Shooters.com, I think, was that he got pulled into working with or for some agency of the gov't, in an unknown capacity, and closed the business. These are first rate holsters I have an IWB for a G27 flogger I keep when the wx is really snotty. If Mark is back in business please post that in the response.

HRT is correct on the maker. It is an M/D holster.
I was one of the customers that had to wait some time to get refunded for a holster never shipped. But I did get a full refund so I hold no grudge.
The story I got, directly from Mark was that he was going through some personal stuff and things just went to pot. Never heard anything else about him after that.

I thought I remembered reading in a thread no TFL that there was another holster maker that produced some of the holsters for M.D.
You might try searching TFL for that thread.

Like the sig line, TR is one of our greatest Presidents, and a favorite of mine. Thanks for the quote.
If I may, "Teddy" was the name used by the President's contemporary detractors. Those who know this use the more respectful "Theodore" :)

The closest I can think of is a model from Milt Sparks for a revolver. I've had really good service out of Milt Sparks leather.

IIRC the other holster maker involved was Black Hills Leather.

CZ, I like Pres. Roosevelt too. He had the right attitude about life and politics in general. I found that quote in one of those "101 great quotes" type books on the discount table at my local book store. I was just thumbing through and that one jumped out at me. I thought it would make a great sig line.

Mark is still around, but not making holsters. As far as I know he is living in The Woodlands and is a police officer with the Conroe school district.

sgt127, the Milt sparks holster you linked to looks like a variation of the Askins' Avenger. I might be wrong but that is what it looks like to me. The holster won by Dr.Rob is a pancake. Regards, Richard:D

Richard, you are right. I also have an old Milt Sparks Roadrunner, that was VERY close to the holster he had pictured, but, when he said he wanted it for a revolver...well...Sparks doesn't make that model. Based on the carry angle and height, I thought the one I pictured was pretty close. Didn't realize it didn't have the exposed front belt loop, its obviously behind the holster. (Still like Sparks stuff though...:))
