Confused With HK Expert 9mm Parts

Does anyone here have an HK Expert 9mm? If so, I was thinking about installing a jet funnel and have received some conflicting info.
One guy told me the jet funnel and grip extension was the same thing. Another told me they were different.
Does anyone have a jet funnel and/or grip extension on their 9mm Expert and if so do the 15 round pre-ban USP 9mm mags fit with the jet funnel/grip extension on ?
I hate to even bring this up but can someone point me in the right direction concerning info on the 18 round HK factory mags with no restrictive markings? I have been told there are NO 18 round pre-bans but yet I see them advertised for sale as "legal pre-bans". I can't decide whether to get those or the 15 rounders.
Thanks for any info. Sorry I'm so confused about this. I just picked up my Expert and was trying to decide what accessories/parts to purchase.

Jet Funnel = grip ext.
As I understand it, the only mags that work w/ the Expert 9 are the 18 rounders. The 15 rounders aren't long enough to work in conjunction w/ the Jet Funnel.
Sorry...I have NO IDEA WHERE to find the clear 18 round mags..Good luck!

Well I am not getting the jet funnel as it seems the 18 round mags are NOT pre-ban regardless of what some people say.
I'm going to buy the 15 round fullsize USP 9mm mags that ARE pre-bans and forget about the jet funnel (my Expert did not come with one).
Thanks for the info.

Well, I have heard of (but not seen) magazine extensions for the USP, these might allow the use of the mag well.
Also, in discussing HK .40->10mm conversions, it is brought up that Para mags can be used. If your heart was really set on the mag well, you could use one of these with a more common mag extension.

The Para mags sort of work, with alot of modification & a huge compromise in reliability...not really a viable option ;)

I always hear that such a conversion is "possible", but never how well it works... guess there is a reason ;)

Would a 10mm round fit in the grip of the 40 s&w? Don't think so. I remember once reading a thread (either THR, TFL or HKPro) from someone that he had modified a USP 45 to 10mm using a custom barrel & heavily modified Para mags...took him a while to get it to work to his satisfaction, but after some trial & alot of error, he figured it out.

Hmmmm....
I've heard a similar story, except that a .40 USP was used as the .45's breechface was too large. I really don't know about the whole magazine issue. I also don't know if Para makes 10mm mags, or if these are just .40 mags with 10mm ammo in them. I have access to a Para .40 w/mags, I ought to measure the inside length of the mag body, just to see what would fit.
