This little gem is unfired for only another 10 hours or so. Tomorrow, she gets baptized with a few hundred rounds!

1965 S&W Model 27-2 in beautiful shape!

Thank you for the compliments. I am truly thrilled with finding this gun. I got it for only $360 from a dealer that owed me a favor or tow for helping him sella few rifles. without a doubt the best steal on a S&W I've ever gotten. He called me before the guy that brought it in even left the shop and said he wouldl hold it for me.

Okay, we've waited long enough for a range report, No Quarter. ;) You posted on 5 SEP you were gonna shoot it the next day, and here it is the 7th. Tell us about it!

What kind of loads did you shoot, what distances, what are you gonna adopt as your standard load?

Did you save any targets to show off your groups?

I picked up a 3-1/2" five screw in March - - 1955 or '56 vintage, I think it is. That big ol' revolver sure shoots well with factory Remington 158 JHPs loads, and it is like child's play to shoot my 162 LSWCs with 7.0 of Unique. Mine was not unfired but almost so. Nearly too nice to carry afield.

Older S&Ws have a charm all their own, don't they?

Best,
Johnny
