The mounts that attach to the rail under the barrel and allows for the use of a red dot site. How come there isn't any good ones out there? I tried one of the cheap ones, but the screws stripped out pretty easily.

What are you trying to put a red dot on? Not trying to second guess you just don't know what you are looking for.

Any handgun that has the weaver rail. But for me, a FN Five Seven.

Which model did you try?
I have seen some nice ones on Glocks that look more stout than the gun.

I don't recall where I got it, but it attaches to the weaver rail, and had one thick connector to the weaver rail that ends up above the slide. It was made of metal, but just very weak screw threads.

Can't someone who knows how to make quality products make one that is worth anything?
Has someone, and if so, link?
Thanks!

IMO, because there is little demand for it. Unless you're talking some race gun, red dot sight on a handgun is quite impractical and bulky.
I have a weaver rail on my Taurus 454 Casull revolve which was a factory accessory and have a 3-9x scope for hunting, but for a semi-auto, and FN 5.7 at that....good luck finding one. Perhaps someone who does racegun manufacturing, customization may have something that you're looking for, but many race guns that I have seen hae scope base bolted on to the frame....I just don't think those under slide rails are sturdy/secure/tight enough for mouting a weaver rail....just feel like zeroing would be a problem.
