Does anybody have any information on when the revised list of states with reciprocity will be published? I have a resident from Florida, and would like to know if we make the cut....

I checked KY back to SC to see if it changed and yes, the KY State Police show that it is recrip with SC now. Look at your home state to see if it has been updated, the SC info is behind the times.

Florida didn't make the "cut" before, and I don't believe they will make it this time either as they have no training requirement.
As an SC resident I have to have a Florida non-resident to carry in FL.

Just this last spring I vacationed in SC and my KY CCDW was not recognized. At least SC allows for concealed carry in your vehicle. I never could figure out why KY recognized SC, but not vice versa. I wish that all states would get on one page with this by establishing CC laws like we have here iin KY. I can open carry with no permit or I can carrry concealed with my card, but God help me if I cross the state line into IL.

We have been trying for a while to get a list of states that are now reciprocal, but cannot seem to get anywhere. I will keep trying and post as soon as I can find anything out.

We do have a training requirement, we do waive the requirement for DD FORM214 holders, active duty, Leo's, etc. though.

The bill was just passed in June, so you would not have been reciprocal back then. The list shown on the SLED website is from Feb 08 and KY was not listed then.

Yep, that is what I discovered. Before we went to SC I called the State Police for clarification and was told that the situation was changing, but just not yet, so concealed in the car in a compartment was the best I could do legally. Funny how these things work out, it used to be legal to carry in your car here in KY but only if it was NOT concealed.

I just got word from SLED today that 2 states have been added to the Reciprocal states list: Florida and Kentucky. Hopefully, SLED will be updating their website in the next few days.

I want to get my license soon. I do like being able to have my pistol in the console of my truck, loaded & ready to go. I just want to be able to have it in my pocket, ready to go too. Hopefully I can do it soon!
