I have a mk2 with a pretty good trigger, and just picked up 2 more mk1's that will be going to my brothers. 1 has a terrific trigger, the other has a really really bad pull. lots of takeup, then creep, then a slight bump, then it breaks. at about 5lbs. and idea on how to work on a mk1/2/3 trigger? do I need parts, or maybe just some stoning of the sear? and how do I get to the sear anyway?

I"m going to post this in the gunsmithing forum too just in case.

Lots of people get much improved trigger pulls by simply installing a Volquarsen sear.

Good luck.

If you install the VQ trigger & sear, be ready to assemble-disassemble, many times to make sure it is adjusted properly.

I had to break my entire gun all the way down to the trigger out each time for adjusting. It took me about 3 hours and about 20 or 30 attempts at getting just the right combination.

You want it to be an easy trigger to pull with very little overtravel, however you don't want an AD. So, in the adjustments, you need to cock and hit the gun in various places with a mallet to be sure the trigger and sear stay engaged.

Of course, all 22 bullets out of sight when you are doing this job.
